I was born in Middlesbrough in the UK in 1984. I graduated with a degree in Physics and Astrophysics from Leeds University in 2005, and I came to Canada in 2010.
I met my now wife Caroline in 2011, we were married a year later, and then two years after that we had our first child, Eleanor. Thomas and Katherine followed, and now our house is full of the kids’ stuff.
I started working for BC Hydro back in 2013 doing data analytics with the SMI project. I am still with Hydro, I really like the fact that the analysis work my team and I work on makes a difference in the electrification efforts in the province.
In terms of Kinsmen, I joined the Langley Kinsmen in 2013. We've grown over the years and now we're a busy club, welcoming new people at our meetings every month. I'm excited to be a member; I look forward to the meetings, the projects, and social time with Kin.
It has long been said that we are Canada’s Best Kept Secret. I don’t want us to be a secret. I want all of Canada to know who we are, what we do, and how much fun it is to be Kin.
